Placement cells and student clubs often assume a "guest speaker" means an hour of slides. That's not what I run, and it's worth spelling out exactly what a session with me looks like before you invite one.
No slide-only talks
Every session has a live system on screen — the RAG platform answering a real question with citations, the fine-tuning dashboard streaming loss in real time — and a repo students can clone the same evening. Abstract claims about AI are cheap; a working demo is not.
Real numbers, not adjectives
Memory limits, VRAM figures, test counts, what the API bill actually looks like. Students remember "220 MB on a free tier" far longer than they remember "lightweight and efficient."
One takeaway, always
Every session ends with something students can act on that week: ship the ugliest working version of one idea, deploy it publicly, write 500 honest words about what broke. That loop, repeated, is the entire method behind everything I've built.
What it costs your college
